Arms of Hope is a charitable not-for-profit Christian Ministry and parent to Medina Children’s Home (60 miles northwest of San Antonio) and Boles Children’s Home (40 miles northeast of Dallas) that have over 130 years combined shared experience in serving children and families in need.
Arms of Hope is committed to providing a safe haven and a loving Christian home environment for children and single mother led families by fighting homelessness, attacking poverty, preventing abuse & neglect and leading them to a life of good and sustaining productive citizenship.
Single mothers with children in the Together Program receive parenting skills, are mentored to and encouraged to further their education or train for a career while living in one of the many campus cottages. Trained house-parents provide a loving, nurturing environment, positive reinforcement, and spiritual leadership for children, ages 5-18, living in the Residential Group Care Program.
The children and single mothers attend public school, participate in school activities, band, sports, FAA, church activities, and planned summer programs. They further their education and invest in their future by going on to college, trade school, the military, first job or careers, and become self-sustaining.
Arms of Hope relies on continuous support through donations from caring individuals, businesses, civic groups, churches, and foundations for annual funding and volunteer support, not on federal or state grants. No child is turned away because their family does not have money to pay for them. To learn more, please visit their website at www.armsofhope.com.
